Overview

Amazon is seeking a Senior NPI Engineering Program Manager for their Hardware Service Engineering team to define strategies for warranty and returns services. You'll work with AWS and develop technical processes for complex products. This role requires significant program management experience.

Job Description

Who you are

You have over 5 years of experience in program management, particularly in hardware service engineering, where you've successfully led complex projects from inception to execution. Your background includes defining customer-facing strategies and internal processes that enhance service operations. You possess a strong understanding of reverse logistics and have developed effective repair and refurbishment processes for consumer electronics. Your ability to collaborate cross-functionally is key, as you will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure alignment with the overall strategy. You are adept at using data to inform decisions and drive improvements in service cost models. You have a proven track record of managing technical processes, including dis-assembly and assembly operations, and you are familiar with tooling solutions that facilitate these activities.

Desirable

Experience in the consumer electronics industry is a plus, as is familiarity with warranty and returns services. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities. A background in engineering or technical fields will enhance your ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own the overall strategy for warranty and returns services for new products, ensuring that customer satisfaction is at the forefront of your initiatives. You will define and develop the repair service cost model, making adjustments as necessary based on risk assessments and changes in the plan of record. Your responsibilities will include creating and implementing customer return screening processes and developing repair strategies that are efficient and effective. You will lead the development of tooling solutions to support repair activities, ensuring that all processes are sustainable and scalable. Additionally, you will be responsible for sustaining hardware screening operations globally, which will require you to collaborate with teams across different regions. You will also hold stakeholders accountable to the Reverse Logistics NPI strategy, ensuring that all parties are aligned and working towards common goals. Your role will involve regular reporting on progress and outcomes, using data to drive decisions and improvements.
