Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on building scalable systems and leading engineering teams. Your background includes hands-on experience with Java and cloud technologies like AWS, enabling you to guide your team in developing robust APIs and tools. You understand the complexities of the grocery industry and are passionate about leveraging technology to enhance customer experiences. You excel in fostering a collaborative team environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement among your team members. You are adept at managing cross-functional relationships, ensuring alignment between engineering, product, and business objectives. You are committed to mentoring and developing talent within your team, helping them grow their skills and advance their careers.

Desirable

Experience in the grocery or e-commerce sector is a plus, as is familiarity with fulfillment and logistics technologies. You have a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget, demonstrating your ability to manage resources effectively. You are comfortable working in a flexible environment and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining focus on key objectives.

What you'll do

As the Engineering Manager for the Enterprise Platform team, you will lead the development of core APIs and tools that enable retailers to operate their own digital storefronts. You will oversee the technical direction of the team, ensuring that the architecture and design of the platform meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with product managers and designers to define the roadmap and prioritize features that enhance the user experience. Your role will involve conducting regular code reviews and providing feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables. You will also be responsible for setting performance metrics and tracking the team's progress against these goals. Additionally, you will facilitate regular team meetings and one-on-ones to support your team's professional development and address any challenges they may face.
