What you'll do

As the Director of Engineering for the Payments Pillar, you will lead a strategic engineering organization that is critical to Playlist's revenue. You will be responsible for building and scaling engineering teams that focus on enhancing the payments experience for merchants and users alike. Your role will involve overseeing multiple squads that are dedicated to international expansion, reliability, and modernization of payment solutions.

You will drive execution across distributed teams located in the US and India, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standards. Collaborating closely with product management and other stakeholders, you will define the technical vision and roadmap for payments, aligning it with the overall business strategy. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a culture of innovation, where team members are encouraged to explore new technologies and approaches to enhance the payments platform.

You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing engineering talent, ensuring that your teams have the skills and resources needed to succeed. By promoting best practices in software development and engineering processes, you will help create a high-performing engineering organization that can adapt to the evolving needs of the business.
