What you'll do

As the Team Lead for Amazon's Transportation team, you will oversee line haul operations, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. You will be the first point of contact for any operational escalations, working closely with fulfillment centers and logistic partners to address issues as they arise. Your role will involve driving various improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational performance, such as truck utilization and safety culture for drivers.

You will coordinate with the Network Operations Center and carriers to ensure timely deliveries and manage carrier performance. Your responsibilities will also include preparing reports for weekly business reviews and conducting ad-hoc planning and analysis to support operational goals. You will engage with safety teams to improve yard and road safety, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

In addition to managing day-to-day operations, you will lead a team of Level 2 and PA staff, providing guidance and support to foster their professional development. You will be involved in deploying solutions from various improvement initiatives, ensuring that best practices are followed across the zonal level. Your leadership will be crucial in driving a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
