Intercom is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead strategic initiatives within the engineering organization. You'll work on both back-end and front-end systems, collaborating closely with various teams. This role requires extensive engineering experience and leadership skills.

You are an experienced engineer with a strong background in both back-end and front-end systems, capable of leading strategic initiatives within the R&D organization. You have a mastery of domain knowledge and are comfortable working autonomously while being accountable for the execution of key projects. Your experience includes coaching and mentoring other engineers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages growth and innovation. You thrive in a culture that values pushing boundaries and delivering incredible value to customers.

You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to partner effectively with designers, product managers, researchers, and data analysts. You understand the importance of cross-functional collaboration and are adept at translating technical concepts into actionable insights for diverse teams. Your leadership style is inclusive, and you are committed to building a strong engineering culture that prioritizes both technical excellence and team development.

Desirable

What you'll do
