Overview

Guidepoint is seeking a Senior Business Development professional to join their Tokyo team. You'll develop and execute sales strategies targeting financial institutions in Asia. This role requires expertise in sales and account management.

Who you are

You are an experienced sales professional with a strong background in business development, particularly within the financial services sector. With a proven track record of selling to global and regional financial institutions, you understand the nuances of the market and are adept at building relationships that drive business growth. You possess excellent communication skills and are passionate about making a difference in your role. Your strategic mindset allows you to develop effective sales strategies that align with both regional and global objectives.

You have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, which has equipped you with the necessary skills to navigate complex sales environments. Your ability to manage accounts and develop long-term relationships with clients is a key strength. You thrive in collaborative settings and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals. You are motivated by results and are always looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes.

Desirable

Experience in consulting businesses and a deep understanding of the financial services landscape in Asia would be advantageous. Familiarity with market developments and trends in the financial sector will help you communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.

What you'll do

In this role, you will develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aimed at achieving revenue targets. You will engage with prospective clients across various financial institutions in Asia, proactively seeking out opportunities to expand Guidepoint's reach. Your responsibilities will include strategic sales and account management planning, ensuring that you set clear targets and performance metrics to guide your efforts.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with institutional and investment firm clients, ensuring that you understand their needs and how Guidepoint can best serve them. You will communicate market developments to both the marketing and client service teams, ensuring that everyone is aligned and informed. Your role will involve significant collaboration with the Head of Sales and other team members to drive business development initiatives forward.
