Databricks is seeking a Senior Account Executive for Named Accounts in the Public Sector to drive the adoption of their data and AI solutions. You'll collaborate with internal teams and partners to deliver exceptional value to enterprise customers. This role requires strong sales skills and experience in the public sector.
You have a proven track record in enterprise sales, particularly within the public sector, and understand the unique challenges and opportunities that come with it. Your ability to engage with multiple stakeholders and navigate complex sales cycles is a key strength — you know how to assess accounts and develop strategies that resonate with decision-makers. You are customer-focused, always aiming to deliver technical and business results that align with your clients' goals.
Your experience includes using a solution-based approach to selling, where you create value for new logo accounts while also identifying quick wins. You are adept at managing longer, complex sales cycles and can support broader data and AI transformation goals for your customers through strategic partnerships and professional services. You thrive in environments where collaboration is essential, and you enjoy orchestrating teams to maximize impact.
Experience with data and advanced analytics is a plus, as is familiarity with the tools and technologies that drive these solutions. You are comfortable engaging with executives and have a knack for building exceptional value in all your engagements. Your ability to guide negotiations to close is well-honed, and you understand the importance of a strong consumption story to maximize impact.
In this role, you will report to the Enterprise Sales Leader for Public Sector and partner with a team of data, AI, and industry specialists. Your mission is to drive the adoption of Databricks within public sector enterprise organizations. You will assess your accounts and develop strategies to identify and engage all buying centers, guiding deals forward to compress decision cycles. You will use a solution-based approach to selling, creating value for new logo accounts while identifying and closing quick, small wins.
You will support the broader data and AI transformation goals of your customers through a combination of strategic partnerships, well-scoped professional services, training, and targeted executive engagement. Building exceptional value with all engagements will be crucial as you guide successful negotiations to close. You will orchestrate and work with teams to maximize the impact on your ecosystem, owning the consumption story with your customers and using demand plans to identify the most viable use cases in each account.
