We are part of RBKS, building solutions for Ring, Blink, Key and Sidewalk platforms. We enhance customer experience through next-generation technologies, and are seeking an exceptional, entrepreneurial full-stack Software Development Engineer(SDE II) with strong backend expertise.
We are expanding our third-party integrations with the RBKS ecosystem - it's a greenfield project! Our primary focus is on building robust backend services and middleware, with some frontend development. The role involves delivering cross-team projects, proposing new architecture and using AI/ML to deliver greater customer value.
Key job responsibilities
· Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs
· Work extensively with AWS services, CDK, and cloud infrastructure
· Build middleware integrations between RBKS systems
· Develop, maintain and enhance frontend components when needed
· Collaborate with other Amazon teams including AMZL/LMTech and Delivery/Recipient Experience
· Solve complex distributed systems challenges with elegant solutions
· Define engineering best practices and provide technical mentorship

About the team
We are part of the RBKS (Ring, Blink, Key, Sidewalk) team, focused on building the next generation of solutions within Amazon's smart device ecosystem. Our group develops and enhances the backend systems that power third-party integrations and business experiences across these platforms. We're working on scalable solutions that enable businesses to integrate with and leverage RBKS devices and services. Our mission is to build robust infrastructure that supports the growth of RBKS ecosystem.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
- Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 3+ years of experience in software development
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
- 3+ year of overall software development experience
- 3+ year of experience in Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
- Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field. Additionally, Knowledge in front end technologies like React, React Router, state management, TypeScript skills for type-safe development
