Elastic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Analytical Engine team to design and build new analytics capabilities in Elasticsearch. You'll work with ES|QL and contribute to the development of scalable software solutions. This role requires expertise in database internals and analytics.
You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building scalable systems and working with database internals. Your expertise in Elasticsearch and analytics will enable you to contribute effectively to the development of new capabilities in the Elasticsearch platform. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are comfortable working with distributed teams across different time zones.
You possess a strong understanding of software design principles and are skilled in writing clean, maintainable code. Your experience with query languages, particularly ES|QL, will be invaluable as you help shape the future of analytics in Elasticsearch. You are proactive in seeking out improvements and enjoy mentoring junior engineers.
You are familiar with cloud-based solutions and have experience in deploying applications at scale. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly will help you collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers. You are passionate about leveraging data to drive insights and improve user experiences.
Experience with AI and machine learning concepts is a plus, as is familiarity with other data processing frameworks. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Elasticsearch - Analytical Engine team, you will design and implement new analytics capabilities that enhance the Elasticsearch platform.
