Overview

NICE is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop and maintain contact center applications with a focus on routing functionality. You'll work with Java, Spring, and microservices to enhance customer experiences. This role requires 8+ years of experience in software engineering.

Job Description

Who you are

You have over 8 years of proven experience in Java programming, showcasing a deep understanding of data structures, threading, object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, functional programming, and memory optimization. Your expertise extends to developing web applications and web services using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot frameworks, allowing you to create robust solutions that meet high standards.

Your hands-on experience with microservice architecture and RESTful API development equips you to design scalable systems that enhance operational efficiency. You are familiar with message brokers like Kafka and have a good understanding of API Gateway and reverse proxy systems, which are beneficial for optimizing application performance.

You are proficient in working with both relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and Amazon Aurora, enabling you to manage data effectively across various applications. Your understanding of cloud infrastructure is particularly valuable, as it allows you to leverage cloud services for deploying and scaling applications.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system architects, and contact center managers. Your ability to communicate effectively and share knowledge helps drive projects forward and fosters a culture of innovation.

Desirable

Experience with additional programming languages or frameworks is a plus, as is familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices. You are always eager to learn and adapt to new technologies, which keeps you at the forefront of software engineering trends.
