Overview

Google is seeking a Group Product Manager for GBO Engineering to lead cross-functional teams in guiding products from conception to launch. This role requires 10 years of experience in product management and strong technical leadership skills.

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 10 years of experience in product management or a related technical role. Your background includes at least 5 years of experience in people management with a focus on technical leadership. You have successfully taken technical products from conception to launch, demonstrating your ability to guide projects from ideation to execution. You also possess a Master's degree in a technology or business-related field, which enhances your understanding of the intersection between technology and business. Your experience includes working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales, finance, and other stakeholders, allowing you to navigate complex organizational structures effectively. You have a strong foundation in software development or engineering, which enables you to communicate effectively with technical teams. Additionally, you are knowledgeable about incorporating accessibility into product development methodologies and have a continued interest in building accessibility best practices.

What you'll do

In this role, you will work collaboratively across teams to guide products from conception to launch, ensuring that both technical and business perspectives are integrated into the product development process. You will oversee the validation of market size and opportunity, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative metrics to inform product decisions. Your leadership will be crucial in defining, identifying, collecting, and tracking appropriate product or business metrics for new or existing products or business ventures. You will be responsible for preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership, showcasing your ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively. As a Group Product Manager, you will foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within your team, driving the development of products that meet user needs and align with business objectives. You will also play a key role in mentoring and developing team members, helping them grow in their careers while achieving collective goals.
