Overview

Google is seeking a Senior PCBA Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to oversee manufacturing processes and ensure product quality. You'll work with tools like SAP and Agile to drive continuous improvements in production. This role requires 8+ years of experience in PCBA manufacturing.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 8 years of experience in manufacturing PCBA and box build. Your expertise includes using tools such as Valor and Allegro to perform Design For Excellence (DFx), and you have a solid background in developing PCBA manufacturing processes, including acceptance testing, startup, and qualification. You are experienced in new sites, line, equipment bring-up, and transfer, showcasing your ability to adapt to various manufacturing environments.

In addition to your technical skills, you have experience in project engineering and overseeing New Product Introduction (NPI) operations. You are proficient with Product Data Management (PDM) tools like SAP, Agile, or Windchill, which allows you to manage product data effectively. Your ability to develop strong technical relationships with manufacturers and vendors is a key asset, as is your capability to drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous process improvements while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to work efficiently with multi-geo teams to achieve project goals. Your contributions positively impact the engineering community, and you thrive in managing complex projects that span multiple technologies. You are passionate about ensuring that Google's custom-designed equipment meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Desirable

What you'll do

As a Senior PCBA Electrical Manufacturing Engineer at Google, you will evaluate product designs and create the processes, tools, and procedures necessary for manufacturing Google's powerful search technology. You will collaborate closely with design and cross-functional engineering teams throughout the NPI phases to identify value engineering opportunities and ensure manufacturability. Your role will involve working with manufacturing partners to ensure build readiness and process validation, solving complex design and manufacturing challenges efficiently to meet project timelines and ensure flawless NPI launches.

You will be responsible for overseeing the development of manufacturing processes, ensuring that they align with Google's high standards. This includes conducting acceptance testing and qualification of new processes and equipment. You will also play a crucial role in driving continuous improvements in manufacturing efficiency and quality, leveraging your experience to implement best practices across the team.
