Amazon is hiring an Engineering Operations Technician to maintain mission-critical technology infrastructure. You'll work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure 99.999% uptime. This role requires hands-on troubleshooting skills and knowledge of data center operations.
As an Engineering Operations Technician, you will be a critical guardian of technological infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations that power global digital experiences. You have a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, and you thrive in hands-on troubleshooting environments. Your expertise will directly contribute to maintaining an extraordinary 99.999% uptime, keeping the digital world running smoothly and efficiently. You are comfortable working with complex systems, including stand-by diesel generators, three-phase electrical systems, and various cooling equipment. You understand the importance of operational excellence and are committed to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with data center operations and familiarity with AWS infrastructure services will be advantageous. You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys tackling challenges and finding innovative solutions. You have a collaborative mindset and are eager to work alongside a diverse team of engineers and specialists.
In this role, you will maintain, operate, and troubleshoot Data Center Operations' Mission Critical Facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of electrical systems, including switch gear, UPSs, PDUs, and wet cell batteries. You will also work with cooling systems such as CRAC units, centrifugal chillers, and cooling towers. Your hands-on approach will be essential in diagnosing and resolving issues quickly to minimize downtime. You will collaborate with other technicians and engineers to implement best practices and improve operational efficiency. Additionally, you will participate in regular maintenance activities and contribute to the continuous improvement of data center operations.
