You are a highly motivated and collaborative accounting professional with a strong background in technical accounting. You enjoy working independently and take on high levels of responsibility, thriving in environments where you can apply complex accounting rules to unique transactions. Your experience includes consulting on technical accounting areas such as financial instruments and stock compensation, and you have a keen understanding of business strategy and related processes.
You have a proven track record of delivering holistic accounting conclusions for complex arrangements and deals. Your ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders, including teams in Energy, Treasury, Tax, and Operations, ensures that new arrangements and programs comply with US GAAP. You bring together experts across teams to evaluate the accounting implications of complex deals and partnerships, demonstrating your strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
In this role, you will be responsible for documenting and providing accounting conclusions for complex accounting transactions, with a particular focus on treasury-related topics such as financial instruments, derivatives, and hedging. You will consult on various technical accounting areas, ensuring compliance with US GAAP while collaborating closely with business and finance teams across Microsoft.
Your responsibilities will include evaluating the holistic accounting implications of complex deals and partnerships, bringing together experts from different teams to ensure comprehensive analysis. You will document accounting positions and provide guidance on technical accounting matters, contributing to the overall success of the Technical Accounting team.
You will work independently while also engaging with a team of experienced technical accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and professional growth.
