Roku is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their Core Analytics team. You'll leverage data analytics to enhance the Live product and work closely with product management and engineering. This role requires strong skills in SQL, Python, and data analysis.
You have 5+ years of experience in data science, with a strong foundation in statistical analysis and machine learning techniques. Your expertise in SQL and Python allows you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively, and you are comfortable working with both structured and unstructured data. You possess a detail-oriented mindset and a passion for problem-solving, enabling you to derive actionable insights from complex data sets. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product managers and engineers to identify opportunities for new features and improvements. Your communication skills are top-notch, allowing you to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are driven by data and have a keen interest in enhancing user experiences through analytics.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus, as is familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud. A background in the streaming or entertainment industry would be advantageous, giving you insights into user behavior and engagement metrics.
In this role, you will own the end-to-end analytics process for Roku's Live product, shaping how viewers discover and engage with content. You will analyze viewer behavior and engagement metrics to identify trends and opportunities for feature development. Collaborating with product management, you will help drive the adoption of new features that enhance the viewer experience. You will also develop and implement tracking solutions to monitor the performance of Live experiences, ensuring that data-driven decisions are made to optimize user engagement. Your analytical skills will be crucial in investigating and developing solutions that improve the overall ecosystem of Roku's offerings. You will regularly present your findings to stakeholders, providing insights that inform strategic decisions and product enhancements.
