Overview

Relativity is seeking a Structural Analyst II to contribute to the development of rockets for the Terran R vehicle. You'll be involved in the entire lifecycle of parts from design to production. This role requires a strong background in structural analysis and engineering principles.

You have a solid background in structural analysis, particularly in the context of turbomachinery or aerospace applications. Your experience includes working with complex engineering systems, and you understand the intricacies of material properties and structural integrity. You are adept at using analytical tools and software to evaluate designs and ensure they meet rigorous performance standards. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to solve challenging engineering problems. You are detail-oriented and possess strong problem-solving skills, allowing you to identify potential issues early in the design process. You are committed to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest advancements in structural engineering and aerospace technologies.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting structural analyses of components used in the Terran R vehicle, ensuring they meet safety and performance requirements. You will collaborate with design engineers to optimize structures for manufacturability and performance. Your work will involve using finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulation tools to predict how components will behave under various conditions. You will also participate in design reviews, providing insights and recommendations based on your analyses. As part of the propulsion team, you will contribute to the development of highly performant engines, ensuring that all structural aspects are thoroughly vetted and validated. You will document your findings and present them to stakeholders, helping to guide decision-making processes.
