Databricks is seeking a Director of Finance, IT Product Specialist to lead the vision and strategy for technology solutions in finance. You'll drive operational excellence and automation while collaborating with business and IT leaders. This role requires expertise in AI and automation.

Who you are

You have a strong background in finance and technology, with at least 5 years of experience in product management or a related field. You understand the complexities of finance systems and have a proven track record of leading teams to deliver impactful technology solutions. Your leadership style fosters collaboration and innovation, enabling your team to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You are adept at identifying opportunities for automation and AI-driven enhancements, ensuring that finance processes are efficient and effective. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to partner effectively with business and IT leaders to drive strategic initiatives.

Desirable

Experience with finance systems such as ERP, FP&A, and Treasury management is a plus. Familiarity with AI technologies and their application in finance will set you apart. You are comfortable navigating complex organizational structures and can influence stakeholders at all levels. A background in operational excellence methodologies will enhance your ability to drive process improvements.

What you'll do

In this role, you will define and execute the product vision and roadmap for finance systems, focusing on areas such as Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Payments, and Travel & Expense. You will lead a team of Application Product Managers, guiding them in optimizing workflows and enhancing automation across various finance processes. Your responsibilities will include establishing operational rigor to support month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring that the finance organization operates smoothly and efficiently. You will collaborate closely with finance leadership to identify pain points and implement solutions that improve decision intelligence and operational efficiency. Additionally, you will drive AI-driven initiatives that transform finance and accounting processes, leveraging technology to enhance business outcomes.
