Flexport is seeking a Senior Global Operations Associate to support humanitarian logistics efforts across Africa. You'll work closely with account management and customs teams to streamline operations. This role requires strong organizational skills and a commitment to global aid.
You have a strong background in operations, ideally with experience in logistics or supply chain management. You understand the complexities of global trade and are passionate about making a positive impact through your work. Your ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders is key to your success in this role. You are detail-oriented and thrive in environments where you can solve problems creatively. You have excellent communication skills, enabling you to effectively liaise with partners and customers across various regions. You are adaptable and can navigate the challenges that come with working in a fast-paced, mission-driven organization.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting Flexport.org’s mission to facilitate humanitarian aid shipping. You will work directly with partners in your region, including account management and customs teams, to ensure that logistics goals are met efficiently. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing operational models that allow Flexport.org to scale its efforts in delivering aid. Your work will involve coordinating with subcontractors, carriers, terminals, and trucking providers to streamline processes and enhance service delivery. You will also analyze operational performance and identify areas for improvement, ensuring that Flexport.org continues to meet the needs of its humanitarian customers effectively. Your contributions will directly impact the success of aid delivery to over 75 countries annually.
