Staff Platform Engineer | SRE

Who you are

You have a strong background in platform engineering and site reliability, with at least 5 years of experience in building and maintaining scalable infrastructure. Your expertise in AWS and cloud technologies allows you to design secure and efficient systems that support engineering teams in their mission. You are proficient in containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, enabling you to create robust deployment pipelines. Your experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform helps you automate and streamline operational processes, ensuring reliability and efficiency in your work.

You are comfortable working in a Linux environment and have a deep understanding of system administration, networking, and security practices. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve infrastructure-related challenges. Your problem-solving skills and attention to detail enable you to evaluate and improve operational processes continuously. You are passionate about creating a culture of reliability and efficiency within your team, and you enjoy mentoring junior engineers to help them grow in their careers.

Desirable

Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus or Grafana is a plus, as it allows you to maintain visibility into system performance and reliability. Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools will enhance your ability to drive automation and efficiency in deployment processes. You may also have experience with scripting languages like Python or Bash, which can further aid in automating tasks and improving workflows.
