Handshake is seeking Cartographers and Photogrammetrists to contribute to an AI training project. You'll leverage your professional experience to evaluate AI models and provide structured feedback. No AI experience is required, making this a great opportunity for professionals in the field.
You have at least 4 years of professional experience in cartography or photogrammetry, allowing you to evaluate and train AI models effectively. Your background includes compiling and analyzing data from aerial photographs, surveys, and satellite images to create and revise detailed maps and charts, ensuring accuracy and completeness. You are comfortable working independently and can deliver clear, structured feedback that strengthens AI models' understanding of workplace tasks and language. You are adaptable and open to learning new skills as you contribute to the evolving field of AI.
Experience with AI or machine learning concepts is a plus, but not required. Familiarity with tools and software used in cartography and photogrammetry will enhance your ability to provide valuable insights during the evaluation process. A strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively are essential for success in this role.
In this role, you will work on an hourly, temporary AI research project, evaluating what AI models produce in your field. You will develop prompts for AI models that reflect your expertise and assess their responses. Your work will be remote and asynchronous, allowing you to manage your hours flexibly, averaging between 5 to 20 hours per week. You will contribute to how AI is utilized in your field, providing feedback that helps refine the models and improve their accuracy.
