Venn is seeking a Founding Business Development Representative to drive lead generation and new business opportunities. You'll work closely with the sales team and contribute to shaping the outbound strategy. This role requires at least 1 year of experience in a BDR or software sales role.
You have at least 1 year of experience in a Business Development Representative (BDR), Sales Development Representative (SDR), or software sales role, ideally as an early sales hire or at a fast-growing startup. You possess a strong record of consistently generating leads and new business opportunities through high-impact outbound outreach. Your experience includes working at or selling into small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), and you have a background in fintech, banking, or financial services. You are eager to experiment, iterate, and improve outbound processes, tooling, and messaging, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can make a direct impact.
Experience in a fast-growing startup environment is a plus, as is familiarity with the unique challenges and opportunities in the fintech sector. You are a proactive individual who enjoys identifying and researching target companies to continuously expand your outbound prospect list. Your collaborative spirit allows you to partner closely with Account Executives and the wider sales team to enhance the outbound BDR strategy, and you are excited about playing a foundational role in defining what great looks like for future BDRs at Venn.
In this role, you will generate leads and new business opportunities through high-impact outbound outreach. You will qualify potential leads to ensure they are a great fit for Venn's products and services, and you will identify and research target companies to continuously expand our outbound prospect list. You will experiment, iterate, and improve outbound processes, tooling, and messaging, playing a critical role in driving our next phase of growth. You will partner closely with Account Executives and the wider sales team to improve the outbound BDR strategy, and you will have a direct impact on helping shape the broader sales motion at Venn.
