Uber is seeking a Senior Opinion Research Manager to lead opinion research that informs policy positioning in the US. This role requires a strong background in political opinion research and excellent communication skills.
You have a strong background in political opinion research, with experience in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Your ability to synthesize polling results to inform campaign or political messaging strategy is well-established. You possess strong communication and prioritization skills, along with an executive presence that allows you to effectively engage with leadership. Staying current with regulatory concerns and public opinion is second nature to you, and you are adept at strategizing with cross-functional teams to develop tactical and long-term policy strategies. You may have experience in political campaigns, serving as a campaign manager, communications director, or strategist, which has equipped you with the insights needed to navigate complex political landscapes.
Experience in public opinion polling and a deep understanding of how to leverage data to inform policy decisions would be beneficial. Familiarity with the regulatory environment affecting the transportation industry is a plus, as is a track record of anticipating potential issues before they escalate into regulatory threats.
In this role, you will lead the design of a research agenda aimed at understanding regulatory and political threats, risks, and opportunities for Uber. Your findings will provide strategic guidance to cross-functional teams, helping to shape Uber's policy strategy and messaging. You will monitor public opinion regarding Uber and the industry, synthesizing insights to elevate Uber's reputation among key stakeholders. Your work will have visibility at the executive leadership level, and you will be expected to provide valuable insights that inform decision-making. You will collaborate closely with various teams to ensure that Uber's policy positioning is proactive and well-informed, ultimately contributing to the company's long-term success.
