CI&T is seeking a Mid-Level Cobol Developer to maintain and develop legacy systems in a mainframe environment. You'll work with COBOL, JCL, SQL, and DB2, primarily in banking contexts. This role requires solid experience in large-scale environments.
You have solid experience as a developer in mainframe environments, particularly with COBOL and JCL. Your background includes working with legacy systems and you understand the intricacies of large-scale banking applications. You are organized and possess strong communication skills, which help you thrive in agile teams. You are familiar with SQL and DB2, and you have practical experience with various mainframe utilities such as HPU, SORT, and PLAN. Your ability to interact with specific banking systems like HexaVision and TSO sets you apart. You are comfortable working in a hybrid environment, with the flexibility to commute to the office in the Metropolitan Region of Campinas.
While not mandatory, knowledge of VSAM and experience with ADABAS/Natural would be beneficial. You are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies, enhancing your contributions to the team.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing, correcting, and maintaining legacy systems in a mainframe environment. You will utilize COBOL and JCL to ensure the smooth operation of these systems. Your tasks will include manipulating sequential files and utilizing SQL and DB2 for data handling and queries. You will operate and monitor routines using scheduling tools like CONTROL-M and IWS, ensuring that all processes run efficiently. You will also work with various utilities to support system operations and interact with specific tools used in the Bradesco environment. Participation in agile ceremonies and processes, such as Scrum and Kanban, will be a key part of your role, allowing you to collaborate effectively with your team.
