You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building and maintaining production systems. Your background includes working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, and you have a solid understanding of database technologies, especially MongoDB. You are adept at developing secure and scalable applications, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can contribute to innovative solutions.

Your expertise in cloud computing allows you to design and implement fault-tolerant systems that meet the needs of diverse customers. You have a strong focus on security and performance, ensuring that applications are not only functional but also robust against potential threats. You are comfortable working with cross-functional teams and have excellent communication skills, enabling you to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable

Experience with database security practices is a plus, as is familiarity with developing applications that leverage AI technologies. You are always eager to learn and adapt to new tools and methodologies, and you enjoy mentoring junior engineers to help them grow in their careers.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer at MongoDB, you will be a key player in the Atlas Clusters Organization, focusing on the development of MongoDB Atlas, our flagship database as a service product. You will collaborate with other engineers to design and implement features that enhance the user experience and improve the overall performance of the platform. Your work will involve interfacing with major cloud providers to ensure seamless integration and deployment of MongoDB clusters.

You will be responsible for developing systems that enhance security, durability, and availability for our customers. This includes creating solutions for cluster networking and data encryption, as well as optimizing database performance. You will also participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall architecture of the system, ensuring that best practices are followed throughout the development process.
