What you'll do

In this role, you will be part of the Security team at Verkada, where you will contribute to building scalable distributed systems capable of handling high traffic from hundreds of thousands of devices deployed globally. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance Verkada's integrated, AI-powered security platform. Your responsibilities will include working with high concurrency key-value storage systems, ensuring data integrity and performance in systems like Redis and DynamoDB. You will also engage with PostgreSQL relational databases to manage and query data effectively.

You will be involved in implementing logging and message passing technologies, utilizing tools like Kafka and SQS to facilitate communication between services. As part of your role, you will deploy services using Terraform and Kubernetes, gaining hands-on experience with infrastructure as code and container management. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers, participate in code reviews, and contribute to the overall architecture and design of the security systems.
