Senior Software Engineer - Credit

Who you are

You have 5+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in building scalable systems that impact financial services. Your background includes independently identifying and delivering software solutions, especially in ambiguous and complex environments. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, risk, data science, and compliance, to ensure that the systems you build are both technically sound and ethically responsible. You have a strong understanding of credit systems and are passionate about improving how credit rewards are accrued and redeemed.

Your technical expertise includes proficiency in Java, and you are familiar with various software development methodologies. You thrive in high-performing teams and are eager to contribute to the highest initiative projects within the organization. You understand the importance of timely and accurate systems and are committed to delivering quality solutions that enhance user experience.

You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys tackling open-ended challenges. You have experience in participating in on-call duties and understand the importance of maintaining system reliability and performance. You are adaptable and open to working in a flexible environment, whether remotely or in the office.

Desirable

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Credit team, you will drive the technical design and implementation of the new rewards platform. This involves working closely with various stakeholders to define project milestones and deliverables. You will be responsible for owning and delivering projects that align with quarterly goals, ensuring that the solutions you develop meet both user needs and business objectives.

You will collaborate with product managers to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Your role will also involve working with data scientists to analyze user behavior and optimize the rewards system for better engagement. You will participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.

In addition to development tasks, you will engage in regular discussions with compliance teams to ensure that all systems adhere to regulatory standards. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise in production, ensuring that the systems remain reliable and efficient.
