Amazon’s Specialized Business Services Security team is seeking an innovative Software Development Engineer to join our Risk & Vulnerability Management Automation team. In this position, you will focus on developing and maintaining solutions that improve the effectiveness and efficiency of risk and vulnerability management initiatives. You will work with a diverse set of security professionals across Amazon to support our automation capabilities. You will develop solutions to drive prioritization and remediation of vulnerabilities and risk reduction to help deliver secure products for our customers.

A day in the life
You will own and contribute to the development of solutions/tools that automate risk assessment and vulnerability management programs. You will join an expanding team, leverage your skills, and apply a variety of methodologies to develop and maintain security solutions. You will collaborate with product teams and senior leaders to develop improvements that help us achieve our vision to be Earth's Most Customer-Centric company.- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
