About the role:

We are seeking a Senior Finance Transformation Solutions Architect to join our Finance Transformation team. This role will serve as the key partner to the Senior Manager of Finance Transformation, helping to shape and execute the team’s roadmap for driving system implementations and improvements across Accounting and Finance.

The ideal candidate will combine deep systems knowledge with strategic thinking, acting as both a problem-solver and an advisor. They will help identify gaps in our current systems and processes, propose scalable solutions, and drive implementation efforts that create efficiency and structure across the organization. We are looking for someone that is capable of shifting from writing an executive-level proposal for implementing a new system to tactical tasks such as facilitating projects and light production support.

What you will do:

  • Partner with the Senior Manager of Finance Transformation to define the team’s roadmap, project priorities, and frameworks for execution.
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to identify system and process gaps, evaluate solutions, and drive initiatives from ideation through implementation across our core financial systems: NetSuite, Zip, Orb & Stripe, Ramp & Navan, ADP, and FloQast.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in Accounting, Finance, Procurement, Legal and other stakeholders to understand requirements and align on solutions.
  • Manage and support projects ranging in complexity and scale — highly cross-functional and spanning multiple months to focused “quality of life” enhancements.
  • Compile business requirement documents and UAT scripts using stakeholder input and coordinating testing cycles.
  • Design and implement scalable system configuration changes that streamline processes.
  • Establish best practices and documentation to ensure knowledge transfer and system sustainability.
  • Mentor a senior analyst on the team without direct people management.

About you:

  • 8+ years of experience in Finance Transformation or Financial Systems roles.
  • Strong expertise with ERP (NetSuite preferred) and financial systems with a focus on supporting order-to-cash (O2C)
  • Robust project management experience and have led at least 2 major system implementations and / or migrations.
  • Deep knowledge spanning multiple Finance domains: Billing and collecting payments from customers, GL mechanics, paying vendors, budgeting processes, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to design scalable processes and implement systems solutions that meet cross-functional business needs.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a balance of strategic vision and executional detail.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience engaging stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
  • Prior experience mentoring team members.
  • Comfortable operating with a high level of autonomy in a dynamic, primarily async environment.
  • Inherently curious with a strong desire to understand the “why” and “how” behind processes and systems.
  • Designing scalable financial systems and processes that enable multi-entity operations, international compliance, inter-company accounting and localization.
  • Nice to have:
    • Experience supporting procure-to-pay (P2P) and record-to-report (R2R) processes
    • NetSuite certification (Administrator or SuiteFoundations)
    • Can read and write basic SQL queries
    • Based out of the Pacific time zone

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $160,000-$190,000. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package may include benefits, equity-based compensation, and eligibility for a company bonus or variable pay program depending on the role.
