PostHog is hiring a Software Engineer for their Managed Warehouse team to build end-user tools for data management. You'll work with technologies like Kubernetes and SQL, focusing on data workflows and query materialization.
You have a solid background in software engineering, particularly in building tools that help users understand and manage their data. You are comfortable working with Kubernetes and have experience debugging stateful data workflows. Your familiarity with SQL allows you to materialize user-defined queries effectively, and you are eager to tackle complex challenges in data management. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are excited about contributing to a team that values open-source principles and product-led growth.
Experience with Temporal.io is a plus, as it will help you schedule jobs and manage workflows efficiently. You are also open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance the capabilities of the Managed Warehouse team.
As a Full Stack Software Engineer on the Managed Warehouse team, you will be responsible for building tools that enable users to traverse their data models seamlessly. You will work on materializing user-defined queries and scheduling and resolving Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs) of query materialization. Your role will involve debugging stateful data workflows by analyzing Kubernetes pod metrics, ensuring that the data stack remains stable and production-ready. You will collaborate closely with other engineers and stakeholders to push the boundaries of what the Data Stack team can achieve, contributing to both core products and foundational platforms.
You will have the opportunity to engage with a variety of challenges, from optimizing data workflows to enhancing user experiences with the tools you build. Your contributions will directly impact how users interact with their data, making it easier for them to derive insights and make informed decisions. You will also participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall improvement of the team's development practices.
At PostHog, you will be part of a dynamic and innovative team that is committed to building exceptional products. We offer a flexible remote work environment, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life effectively. You will have access to a supportive team that values collaboration and continuous learning. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we believe in the potential of diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
