Amazon is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a team in optimizing logistics and enhancing customer experience. You'll utilize skills in SQL and Excel to drive performance metrics and process improvements. This role requires a basic understanding of logistics and at least 1 year of management experience.
You have a basic understanding of the logistics space and possess strong communication skills, both written and oral. With at least 1 year of employee and performance management experience, you are adept at managing a team and facilitating the flow of information across multiple stakeholders. You are a smart, customer-obsessed innovator who can identify opportunities for process improvements and drive them through to completion. Your analytical skills allow you to make data-backed decisions that positively impact customer experience and business continuity.
Experience with data management systems and ad hoc reporting is a plus. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred, along with a proven track record of managing shifts and improving team performance.
As an Operations Manager at Amazon, you will be responsible for managing a shift and constantly identifying opportunities to enhance team performance. You will develop and refer to performance metrics to drive team performance and business results. Your role will involve communicating with both external customers, such as carriers and vendors, and internal customers, including finance and fulfillment centers. You will escalate problems or variances in information to the relevant owners and follow through on resolutions. Additionally, you will be expected to pull data from various databases using tools like Excel, Access, and SQL to perform reporting and analysis as needed.
