HelloFresh is seeking a Mid-Level Sous Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure food quality standards. You'll be responsible for training staff and maintaining kitchen safety protocols. This role requires experience in kitchen management and a commitment to quality.
You have experience as a Sous Chef and are adept at overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring that all food prepared meets the highest quality standards. You are skilled in training and developing kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment where everyone can thrive. You understand the importance of maintaining security and upkeep of kitchen equipment and supplies, and you are knowledgeable about state and federal health and safety codes. You are results-driven and able to balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive outcomes in all areas of the kitchen. You are comfortable working in varying temperatures and can multitask effectively, tracking recipe development while maintaining productivity. You are computer literate and can input information efficiently into kitchen management systems.
In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food preparation aligns with company standards and practices. You will be responsible for training, coaching, and developing hourly kitchen staff, helping them to grow in their roles. You will maintain the security and upkeep of the kitchen, including managing equipment and inventory. You will plan and implement energy conservation procedures to optimize kitchen operations. You will ensure compliance with health and safety codes, maintaining high standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance. You will manage departmental performance measures and provide regular progress reports to the Chef de Cuisine. As situations arise, you will prioritize tasks and manage departmental priorities effectively. You will also conduct accident investigations and notify management as appropriate, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
