Uber is seeking a Design Manager for their Autonomous Vehicle Infrastructure team to lead the design and site readiness phases of EV charging projects. You'll manage projects from conceptual design through permitting and contractor selection, requiring 5+ years of experience in design management.
You have over 5 years of experience in design management or construction management, with a proven track record of managing end-to-end design and construction of electric vehicle infrastructure projects. You understand the complexities of project management and are adept at maintaining quality, budget, and timelines throughout the project lifecycle. Your proficiency in design and project management software, particularly AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite, allows you to create effective designs that meet utility standards and AHJ requirements.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams and general contractors to drive efficient project execution. You are proactive in identifying and resolving on-site project challenges, ensuring continuous progress and adherence to project timelines. Your strong communication skills enable you to track project progress and report regularly to stakeholders, keeping everyone informed and aligned.
Experience with fast-charging electric vehicle infrastructure projects is a plus, as is familiarity with utility standards and permitting processes. You are comfortable navigating complex project requirements and have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all designs align with internal specifications and external regulations.
