Gauntlet is seeking an Accounting Lead to oversee revenue, vendor management, and financial controls. You'll collaborate closely with the Controller and CFO while mentoring a Senior Accountant. This role is based in New York City, San Francisco, or Los Angeles, with remote options available.
You have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in managing financial controls and vendor relationships. Your leadership skills are evident as you supervise and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative environment. You are detail-oriented and possess a deep understanding of revenue management and expense accounting, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
Experience in the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector is a plus, as it will help you understand the unique challenges and opportunities in this rapidly evolving field. Familiarity with digital asset ledgers and tax compliance will enhance your ability to contribute effectively to the team.
In this role, you will lead the accounting function at Gauntlet, overseeing all aspects of financial management including revenue recognition, expense tracking, and vendor management. You will work closely with the Controller and CFO to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's goals. Your responsibilities will include preparing financial statements, managing audits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also facilitate relationships with external tax and audit providers, ensuring that all financial practices adhere to industry standards.
