Job Description

Who you are

You have 15 years of customer-facing experience in SaaS or AI companies, cloud business, corporate development, investment banking, or management consulting — your background equips you with the skills to navigate complex partnership landscapes. You hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Computer Science is preferred. Your experience includes executing partnership strategies, identifying opportunities, and negotiating agreements that drive mutual growth.

You possess a deep understanding of the public sector or regulated market business, allowing you to effectively engage with industry-leading partners. Your ability to recruit and manage partnerships into a joint go-to-market (GTM) motion is complemented by your strong communication and presentation skills. You thrive in dynamic environments and are adept at collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

Your leadership and financial acumen enable you to make sound business judgments and drive impactful decisions. You are comfortable interacting with executives at market-leading technology and SaaS companies, presenting proposals, and structuring relationships that benefit all parties involved. You are a problem-solver who can adapt to an ever-changing industry landscape, ensuring that partnerships remain aligned with strategic goals.

Desirable

Experience in managing unconventional agreement structures and operationalizing new business models through partners is a plus. You are familiar with the latest trends in cloud technology and understand how to leverage them to unlock business potential. Your ability to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, industry, and business teams will be crucial in focusing on the biggest impact partnerships.

What you'll do

As a Senior Business Development Manager at Google, you will be responsible for building relationships and developing joint business growth plans with partners as they make financial decisions with Google Cloud. You will collaborate closely with Google Global and Regional Partner Managers, Business Account teams, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Professional Services, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders to execute on a full life-cycle partnership ideation and discussion.

You will engage with executive levels to build partnerships, present proposals, and structure relationships that align with Google Cloud's strategic objectives. Your role will involve managing a portfolio of partnership agreement structuring engagements, defining and executing unconventional agreement structures that drive mutual benefits. You will work cross-functionally to ensure that partnerships are effectively integrated into the broader business strategy.

Your responsibilities will include defining and operationalizing new business models through partners to unlock and accelerate business growth. You will be expected to monitor industry trends and adapt partnership strategies accordingly, ensuring that Google Cloud remains competitive and innovative in the marketplace. Your ability to lead discussions and negotiations will be key to achieving mutually beneficial outcomes for all parties involved.

What we offer

We offer competitive compensation and benefits, including opportunities for professional development and growth. You will work alongside talented professionals who are passionate about technology and dedicated to driving success for our partners and customers. Join us in shaping the future of cloud technology and making a difference in the industry.
