SugarCRM is seeking a Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting to lead global revenue accounting and accounts receivable operations. You'll work with ASC 606 and collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate revenue recognition. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise and leadership skills.

Who you are

You have over 5 years of experience in revenue accounting and accounts receivable, with a strong understanding of ASC 606 and its implications for revenue recognition. Your technical accounting expertise is complemented by operational discipline, allowing you to manage complex financial processes effectively. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working cross-functionally with teams such as Sales, FP&A, and Legal to ensure seamless operations. Your leadership style is hands-on, and you have experience managing distributed teams, fostering a culture of accountability and growth. You are adaptable and can navigate the challenges of a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization, always striving for efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

Desirable

Experience with billing, collections, and credit management is a plus, as is familiarity with financial software and tools that enhance revenue operations. You may also have a background in CRM systems, which aligns with SugarCRM's mission to help sales teams succeed. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement will set you apart in this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the global revenue accounting and accounts receivable operations, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 for revenue recognition. You will oversee the billing and collections processes, working closely with the Sales and Deal Desk teams to streamline operations and improve cash collection efficiency. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing scalable order-to-cash processes that support the company's growth objectives. You will also be responsible for preparing and presenting financial reports to senior leadership, providing insights into revenue trends and operational performance. Collaboration is key, as you will partner with various departments to address any issues related to revenue recognition and ensure that all financial practices align with regulatory standards.
