Amazon is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations and improve collection effectiveness. You'll work closely with multiple stakeholders and require at least 2 years of experience in US Payroll.
You have at least 2 years of experience in US Payroll within a large customer-oriented corporate environment — you understand the intricacies of payroll processes and systems, and you possess outstanding communication and problem-solving skills. Your background includes a Bachelor's degree in accounting or commerce, which has equipped you with the necessary knowledge to excel in this role. You are proficient in Excel at an advanced level and have experience with Microsoft Office products and applications, enabling you to handle complex data and reporting tasks effectively.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about providing excellent customer service. You have a knack for tracking and managing employee queries related to overpayments and receivables, ensuring that you follow up diligently to improve collection effectiveness. Your ability to work seamlessly with multiple stakeholders is a key strength, allowing you to navigate challenges and deliver results efficiently.
Experience in finance operations or shared services, particularly in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general ledger, is highly desirable. You are familiar with payroll systems and processes, which will help you contribute to enhancing the employee experience at Amazon. Your proactive approach to problem-solving and your ability to communicate effectively with employees and stakeholders will set you apart in this role.
In this role, you will be responsible for processing manual check and payslip calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payroll regulations. You will track, inform, and follow up on any open overpayments or receivables from both active and terminated Amazon employees, working to improve collection effectiveness. Handling employee queries related to overpayments and receivables will be a significant part of your daily tasks, requiring you to provide clear and concise information to employees.
You will collaborate closely with Payroll Operations to enhance the overall employee experience, ensuring that payroll processes are efficient and effective. Your role will involve working with various stakeholders in a highly dynamic environment, requiring you to adapt quickly and respond to inquiries with professionalism and expertise. You will also be expected to contribute to process improvements and share insights that can help streamline payroll operations.
