Apple is seeking a CNC Subject Matter Expert (SME) to design and oversee critical CNC processes and equipment. You'll collaborate with various teams to ensure optimal design for CNC manufacturing. This role requires 3+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience and proficiency with CAD/CAM.
You have over 3 years of hands-on CNC machining experience, demonstrating your ability to operate machines effectively. Your expertise includes machining, cutting-tool selection, and fixture design, allowing you to contribute significantly to manufacturing processes. You are proficient with CAD and CAM software, which is essential for designing manufacturing processes from concept to implementation. Your educational background includes a BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, equipping you with the necessary theoretical knowledge to excel in this role.
Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is a plus, as is familiarity with advanced CNC technologies. You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with Product Design, Industrial Design, and Manufacturing Design teams to drive innovation. Your ability to analyze data and provide feedback to designers will be invaluable in this role.
