Amazon is hiring a Trust and Privacy Program Manager to oversee trust, privacy, and accessibility initiatives across its devices and services. You'll manage escalated events and collaborate with various teams to ensure compliance and risk mitigation. This role requires expertise in privacy and data protection.
You have a strong background in privacy, data protection, and risk management — your expertise allows you to navigate complex situations and make high-judgment decisions effectively. With a detail-oriented approach, you excel in managing escalated events and ensuring thorough documentation throughout the process. Your technical capabilities enable you to work closely with engineering and product teams, fostering collaboration to enhance trust and privacy in products and services.
You are skilled in creating processes for incident containment and risk remediation — your experience includes investigating high-risk events and supporting post-mortem analyses to identify trends and improve future responses. You understand the importance of transparency and customer control, and you are committed to building customer-facing capabilities that align with these values. Your ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including legal and marketing teams, ensures that all aspects of trust and privacy are addressed comprehensively.
Experience in a technology-driven environment is a plus, as is familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulations related to privacy and data protection. You are proactive in identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them, contributing to a culture of trust within the organization.
In this role, you will manage escalated events and cases from start to finish, writing detailed case notes, reports, and summaries for various audiences, including leadership. You will execute trust and privacy initiatives, ensuring that all products and services meet the highest standards of compliance and customer trust. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with builder, engineering, product, legal, PR, and marketing teams to handle large-scale, often urgent, escalated events.
You will create processes for incident containment and risk remediation, investigating escalated events that pose potential high or critical risks. Supporting continuous reporting, testing, and assurance, you will inform stakeholders and management of key risk trends and patterns across devices and services. Your role will also involve developing metrics to measure the effectiveness of trust and privacy initiatives, ensuring that the organization remains accountable to its customers.
