Overview

Waymo is seeking a Program Manager for AV Compliance to navigate legal issues surrounding autonomous driving technology. You'll collaborate with various teams to ensure compliance with global regulations. This role requires experience in legal compliance and project management.

Who you are

You have a strong background in legal compliance and project management, ideally with experience in technology sectors. You understand the complexities of regulatory frameworks and have a proven track record of navigating legal challenges in a corporate environment. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams is essential, as you will work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to drive compliance initiatives. You are detail-oriented and possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to articulate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders effectively. You thrive in a hybrid work environment and are comfortable balancing remote and in-office responsibilities. You are proactive in identifying potential legal issues and are skilled at developing strategies to mitigate risks.

Desirable

Experience in the autonomous vehicle industry or related fields is a plus. Familiarity with intellectual property law and corporate transactions will enhance your candidacy. You are adaptable and open to learning about new technologies and regulatory changes that impact the autonomous driving landscape.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing compliance with a range of global regulations affecting Waymo's autonomous driving technology. You will collaborate with the legal team to address high-profile legal matters and ensure that the company adheres to evolving regulatory standards.
