Security Software Engineer

Who you are

You have a strong background in security engineering, with experience in designing and implementing security solutions for complex systems. Your expertise includes working with AWS and Linux environments, ensuring that security measures are integrated into all aspects of system design and operation. You understand the importance of maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and systems, and you are skilled at identifying and remediating vulnerabilities.

You are proficient in programming languages such as Python, which you use to automate security tasks and develop tools that enhance security posture. You have a solid understanding of security frameworks and best practices, and you are familiar with industry standards for information security. Your analytical skills allow you to assess risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with application development teams to ensure that security is a priority throughout the software development lifecycle. You are proactive in staying updated on the latest security threats and trends, and you are committed to continuous learning and improvement in your field.

Desirable

Experience with security tools such as Burp Suite or OWASP is a plus, as is familiarity with incident response and threat hunting methodologies. You may also have certifications such as CISSP or CEH, which demonstrate your commitment to the security profession.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design, build, and maintain technology solutions that provide security for SpaceX systems, networks, and data. You will focus on authentication and identity services, including multi-factor solutions and network access control. Your responsibilities will include conducting security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing remediation strategies to protect critical systems.

You will also participate in incident response activities, helping to investigate and resolve security incidents as they arise.
