Esri is hiring a Web Developer II to build the next generation of ArcGIS Enterprise. You'll work with JavaScript and contribute to user experience design and development. This position requires a strong technical voice in product development.
You have a solid background in web development, particularly with JavaScript, and are eager to contribute to building user-friendly applications. Your experience includes designing and developing maintainable web applications and UI modules for large-scale deployment. You thrive in collaborative environments, working alongside product engineers, software engineers, and designers to create exceptional user experiences. You are familiar with REST API design and understand how to integrate web applications with back-end services effectively. Your attention to detail and passion for user experience drive you to create innovative solutions that meet user needs.
Experience with GIS technologies or mapping applications would be a plus, as well as familiarity with cloud-based solutions. You are comfortable prototyping web applications to showcase new concepts and ideas, and you have a knack for applying best practices in software design and development. You are also skilled in writing comprehensive technical design specifications to support your development efforts.
In this role, you will envision, design, and develop maintainable and reusable web applications for ArcGIS Enterprise. You will rapidly prototype web applications to showcase new concepts and ideas, driving the REST API design necessary for integrating the web application with back-end services. Your responsibilities will include creating a rich developer-friendly toolkit to consume new server-side GIS functionalities, ensuring that you apply good software design and development practices in your daily activities. You will collaborate closely with a cross-functional global team, contributing your technical expertise to enhance the product development process.
