Geotab is hiring a Senior Data Platform Developer specializing in Generative AI to enhance their IoT and connected transportation solutions. You'll work with machine learning and data engineering technologies, contributing to innovative analytics for fleet management. This role requires significant experience in data platforms and AI technologies.
You have a strong background in data engineering and machine learning, with at least 5 years of experience in developing data platforms that support large-scale analytics. Your expertise in Python and SQL allows you to build robust data pipelines and perform complex data manipulations efficiently. You understand the intricacies of working with IoT data and have a passion for leveraging AI to drive insights and improve operational efficiency.
You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions. Your problem-solving skills are complemented by your ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment across the organization. You are adaptable and open to taking on new challenges, contributing to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Your work will directly impact the optimization of fleet management and the enhancement of driver safety through advanced analytics.
You will be responsible for ensuring data quality and integrity, implementing best practices for data governance, and optimizing data storage solutions. Additionally, you will participate in the development of machine learning models that leverage vehicle data to provide actionable insights for customers.
As a senior member of the team, you will mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall technical direction of the data platform. You will also engage in continuous learning and stay updated on industry trends, ensuring that Geotab remains at the forefront of IoT and connected transportation technologies.
