Overview

Google is seeking a Senior Database Sales Specialist to promote database solutions and manage customer relationships. You'll work with technologies like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle to drive business growth. This position requires 10 years of experience in sales and database technologies.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 10 years of experience in promoting database solutions or data management software. Your background includes planning, pitching, and executing territory business strategies, and you have a proven track record of working with C-level executives and cross-functional teams across all levels of management. You excel in managing agreements or partnerships and have experience supporting executive relationships while ensuring customer success, adoption, and expansion.

Your expertise extends to database technologies and products, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB, as well as deployment options in the cloud. You have a strong understanding of how to inventory existing software estates and build cases for transformation with implementation plans. You thrive in sales roles, consistently carrying and exceeding business goals, and have experience working in an overlay sales role.

Desirable

Experience working with internal and external teams, including account teams, technical leads, procurement, and legal, is a plus. You are adept at collaborating with partner teams to activate database-specific partners and ensure that sales teams and customers have access to the necessary resources.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be part of the Google Cloud Platform team, helping customers transform and build what's next for their businesses using cloud technology. You will develop go-to-market strategies, generate and progress pipeline opportunities, and provide an excellent prospect and customer experience. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as sales representatives, sales managers, customer engineering, marketing, and customer success, to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

You will be responsible for pitching database solutions to potential clients, managing relationships with existing customers, and ensuring their success with Google Cloud products. Your role will involve understanding customer needs, addressing their concerns, and providing tailored solutions that meet their requirements. You will also work closely with partner teams to activate database-specific partners, ensuring that sales teams and customers have access to the right resources and support.
