Apple is seeking a Senior Health Sensor ASIC Architect to develop ASICs for new health sensors in future products. You'll leverage your expertise in electrical engineering and modeling tools like MATLAB and Python. This role requires a strong background in ASIC architecture and at least 10 years of relevant industry experience.
You have a strong electrical engineering background with hands-on experience in electrical design, both with IC and board-level circuits. With a proven track record of successful ASIC architecture, you understand the complexities beyond block-level design of specific on-chip functions. Your proficiency in MATLAB, SPICE, and Python allows you to conduct ASIC simulations effectively, addressing noise, power, and other system requirements. You bring at least 10 years of relevant industry experience, showcasing your ability to tackle challenging engineering problems. Your knowledge extends to health, medical, or other sensing hardware systems, and you have experience in digital signal processing and signal integrity applicable to sensing data acquisition. A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Physics, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience, is preferred but not mandatory.
As a Health Sensor ASIC Architect, you will conduct feasibility studies and system modeling for sensing systems. You will architect and define electrical interfaces for new sensors, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative sensor solutions that enhance user experience across Apple’s product line. You will be responsible for defining system requirements and mitigation strategies, ensuring that the designs are robust and effective. Your contributions will directly impact the development of cutting-edge health sensing technologies, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in consumer electronics. You will also mentor junior engineers, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of engineering excellence within the team.
