Klaviyo is seeking an Engineering Manager for their Data Management and Governance team to define the technical vision for data governance systems. You'll work primarily with AWS and Python, alongside technologies like Kubernetes and MySQL. This role requires strong leadership and technical expertise in data management.
You have a strong background in engineering management with a focus on data systems — your experience includes leading teams that build and scale data governance solutions. You understand the complexities of data management and compliance, and you are passionate about empowering your team to tackle challenging engineering problems. You have a solid technical foundation, particularly in Python and AWS, and you are comfortable working with various data technologies. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy mentoring engineers to help them grow in their careers.
Experience with real-time data analytics platforms is a plus — you have worked with large-scale systems and understand the intricacies of data governance. Familiarity with tools such as Kafka, Spark, and Airflow will set you apart, as will any experience in compliance with data regulations.
As the Engineering Manager for the Data Governance team at Klaviyo, you will take ownership of defining the technical and organizational vision for our data governance systems.
