NEORIS is seeking a Junior HOST Developer to join their team in Peru. You'll work on analyzing, developing, and maintaining COBOL applications in critical financial environments. This role requires familiarity with mainframe technologies and a passion for robust software development.
You are a recent graduate or have some experience in software development, particularly in COBOL, and are eager to start your career in the mainframe technology sector. You have a strong interest in developing reliable applications for critical environments, especially in the financial sector. You are comfortable working in a hybrid environment and collaborating with a diverse team of professionals. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for learning and growing your technical skills in a supportive setting.
Experience with CICS and TSO is a plus, as well as familiarity with JCL for batch processing. Knowledge of database management systems like DB2 and data structures such as VSAM will help you excel in this role. If you have worked with automation tools like Control-M, that would be beneficial. A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies is essential.
As a Junior HOST Developer at NEORIS, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and developing applications in COBOL for high-availability environments such as banking and telecommunications. You will implement and maintain processes using CICS and TSO to manage transactions and sessions effectively. Your role will also involve designing and administering JCL for executing batch processes, ensuring that they run smoothly and efficiently.
You will model and optimize data structures in VSAM and DB2-Host, contributing to the overall performance and reliability of the applications. Additionally, you will automate and monitor batch processes using Control-M, ensuring that all operations are executed as planned. You will operate and provide support in IBM 3270 environments, gaining hands-on experience with mainframe systems.
