Overview

Affirm is seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead the Card Experience, focusing on the critical 'Pre-Swipe' journey for new users. You'll define strategies for activation and user experience, driving innovative features to enhance onboarding. This role requires strong product management skills and a strategic mindset.

Who you are

You have extensive experience in product management, ideally with a focus on user experience and activation strategies. You understand the complexities of financial products and are passionate about creating seamless onboarding experiences for users. Your strategic mindset allows you to identify growth opportunities and drive innovative solutions that enhance user engagement.

You are adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering and design, to bring your vision to life. You thrive in environments where you can lead initiatives from conception to execution, ensuring that user needs are met while aligning with business goals. Your ability to analyze user behavior and feedback enables you to make data-driven decisions that improve the overall product experience.

Desirable

Experience in the fintech industry or with credit products is a plus. Familiarity with gamification techniques and user journey mapping will help you excel in this role. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality results.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own the 'Pre-Swipe' vision for the Affirm Card, defining the long-term strategy for user activation and experience. You will create a roadmap that guides users from initial interest to readiness to transact, bridging the gap between digital provisioning and physical card unboxing. Your leadership will be crucial in identifying and launching new features that drive user activation, such as gamified onboarding and instant wallet provisioning.

You will work closely with engineering and design teams to ensure that the onboarding process is smooth and user-friendly. Your insights will help shape the product's direction, making it easier for users to understand and engage with the Affirm Card. You will also be responsible for analyzing user feedback and metrics to continuously improve the activation journey, ensuring that it meets the needs of millions of new users.
