Google is seeking an Electrical Engineer for their Datacenter Operations team in Nong Yai, Thailand. You'll manage the uptime and maintenance of electrical systems in data centers, requiring 5+ years of experience in electrical distribution and knowledge of data center environments.
You have a minimum of 5 years of electrical experience in an industrial or commercial environment, with a strong background in electrical testing equipment and electrical distribution systems. Your technical training includes an Associate's degree or trade school certification in a related field, or equivalent practical experience. You are comfortable with physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment, and you adhere to safety protocols while using personal protective equipment. You are flexible with your work hours and can adapt to non-standard shifts as needed.
Your experience includes maintenance of electrical distribution systems, ideally within data centers, hospitals, or power plants. You possess a solid understanding of electrical systems used in data center environments, including feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, and PDU/PMM units. You are skilled in using meters, devices, sensors, and troubleshooting techniques with standard hand tools and digital metering equipment.
You have excellent communication skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate with contractors performing maintenance or upgrades on data center systems. You thrive in environments where you can operate, monitor, and maintain complex electrical systems, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability.
Experience in startup, commissioning, and integration of new electrical equipment and systems into existing facilities infrastructure is a plus. Familiarity with data center operations and the ability to respond to abnormal conditions in facility systems will set you apart.
As an Electrical Engineer in Datacenter Operations at Google, you will be responsible for managing the uptime and maintenance of critical electrical systems within the data center. You will operate, monitor, and support the physical facilities systems, ensuring they function efficiently and effectively.
