Elastic is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to enhance developer productivity within the Search organization. You'll work with AWS, Docker, and Elasticsearch to improve workflows and infrastructure reliability. This role requires strong experience in CI/CD and Linux environments.
You have 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, focusing on enhancing developer productivity and infrastructure reliability. Your expertise in CI/CD practices has allowed you to implement robust pipelines that streamline development workflows and improve deployment efficiency. You are well-versed in cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and understand how to leverage them to optimize performance and security. Your experience with Docker has equipped you with the skills to manage containerized applications effectively, ensuring seamless integration and deployment processes. You have a solid understanding of Linux systems, which enables you to troubleshoot and optimize server performance. You are passionate about mentoring and sharing your knowledge with team members, promoting best practices in reliability and security across the organization.
Experience with Elasticsearch is a plus, as it is a key component of the infrastructure you will be working with. Familiarity with observability tools and practices will help you enhance monitoring and alerting capabilities across the Search products. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement and are eager to implement solutions that drive efficiency and effectiveness in developer workflows.
As a Senior DevOps Engineer on the Search Developer Productivity team, you will take technical ownership of the infrastructure that supports the Search organization. Your primary responsibility will be to build and improve benchmarking infrastructure, enabling engineers to create, run, and monitor performance tests easily. You will collaborate closely with various teams to enhance observability and alerting, ensuring that incident response times are minimized and system reliability is maximized. Your role will involve promoting best practices in performance and security awareness, sharing your expertise to foster a culture of reliability across teams. You will also be responsible for automating processes that enhance engineering productivity, allowing teams to focus on delivering new features and products efficiently. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and performance of the Search AI Platform, which is utilized by a significant portion of the Fortune 500.
