Overview

Carvana is seeking a Master Automotive Technician to perform extensive repairs and diagnostics on various vehicle makes and models. You'll utilize advanced tools and techniques, requiring a minimum of 5 years of automotive repair experience.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a minimum of 5 years of professional automotive repair experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in automotive mechanics. Your expertise includes performing extensive repairs and heavy engine work, as well as advanced vehicle diagnostics. You are skilled in repairing advanced vehicle electrical issues and have experience with installing, repairing, and replacing vehicle refrigerant and recovery systems. Your knowledge extends to working on all makes and models, including electric and hybrid vehicles, showcasing your versatility in the automotive field.

You thrive in a high-tech environment and are comfortable using state-of-the-art tools in one of Carvana's Inspection Centers. Your commitment to quality and safety ensures that every vehicle you work on meets the highest standards. You are a team player who values collaboration and communication, understanding that success in automotive repair often comes from working closely with others.

Desirable

While not required, additional certifications such as ASE would be beneficial. Experience with hybrid and electric vehicles is a plus, as is familiarity with the latest automotive technologies and diagnostic tools. You are eager to learn and grow within the company, taking advantage of training programs offered to enhance your skills and career progression.

What you'll do

As a Master Automotive Technician at Carvana, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a wide range of automotive issues. Your day-to-day tasks will include performing detailed vehicle diagnostics, troubleshooting complex electrical systems, and executing repairs on various vehicle components. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.

You will work closely with other technicians and team members to ensure that all vehicles are repaired efficiently and effectively. Your role will involve using advanced diagnostic equipment to identify issues and determine the best course of action for repairs. You will also be responsible for mentoring entry-level technicians, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them develop their skills.

In addition to technical responsibilities, you will participate in ongoing training programs to stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, suggesting enhancements to processes and workflows that can increase efficiency and effectiveness in the Inspection Center.
